Coloring Easter Eggs

This morning we colored some Easter eggs, we didn't have any vinegar though so they didn't turn out great. We are going to get some vinegar and do some more in a few days.

The girls had a great time, we had a princess kit so they thought it was fun to put glitter and stickers on the eggs.

A funny Quinn story. We were outside talking to our neighbors the other night, Quinn was talking to her friends. Then, Will, a five year old up the street came out. I think Quinn has a crush on him because she always acts different when he is around. SHe went over to talk to him andthe talked for a few minutes. He asked her if she'd been "jeeping", (we think that means driving her Barbie Jeep), she was twirling her skirt and playing with her hair the whole time. I told herit was time to go in so she walked to him and said she had to go and with puckered lips told him to give her a hug and kiss. Will is a boys boy so he screamed and took off running, so Quinn chased him screaming for him to kiss her. Lance was in the garage shielding his eyes the whole time!

I finally convinced Quinn to give it up and come in so we could have a talk about kissing people.

Counting down the days until Daddy comes home!

Quinn and Reagan are very excited for Lance to come home, and so am I. Only 5 more days until we will be all together again! I don't have any new pictures because Lance has our camera in NYC but I do have some updates on the girls.

Quinn has now learned to write her name by herself! She does a really great job and is so proud of herself. She is also working on writing short words at school such as bus, Mom, and Dad. They have began to learn what sounds letters make and she knows several. We sent in her registration for Kindergarten at St. Joseph's Catholic School next year. It atually made me sad, i can't believe our baby will be old enough for school.

It seems like Reagan learns something new everyday, she is like a little spounge! She is constantly adding to the words that she can say and is now up to about 25. She is also learning her body parts, she can say and point to her: nose, eyes, mouth, belly, head and feet (she can't say feet yet though). She is still doing a great job sleeping in her big girl bed and seems to be really proud of herself when we get er up in the morning!

We finally made it back home yesterday, we had a 5 hour delay at the at the airport and arrived home to cold and high winds! The winds were so high they kncked out our power for a couple hours! We had a great time but are happy to be home!

We arrived in FL Sunday morning, after brunch we headed straight to the pool! To our suprise Reagan had great time and enjoyed the water, Quinn was the water-dog she has always been, amazing everyone by jumping in again and again. We went to the beach yesterday, perfect weather...mid 80's and tons of sun! The water was chilly but the girls had a blast building sand castles. Quinn went on a long walk with Grandpa collecting shells.

When we came home Quinn was able to fly her kite a little bit, which she enjoyed. Today she is off to the movies with Grandma.

This weekend we finished Reagan's big girl room furniture! She absolutely loves it, when Quinn sat on her bed she said told her no and pushed her a bit, she did not want Quinn on her new bed! We got her furniture from Ikea, and it is ever sturdy, and weighs a ton! The bed is very low to the ground so she can get in and out by herself, but it is plenty long enough for years to come, Quinn has plenty of room in it. We also got her a 3 drawer dresser, night stand and a wardrobe, which is really big. I haven't finished everything yet, I need to rearrange some pictures and hang so other ones, but it is off to a great start!

Today we got a "big" snowstorm, we have about 4 inches right now, luckily no ice yet. Reagan was a bit under the weather so she stayed in with Lance, since my office closed early I was able to play with Quinn. We built snow castles and tried to make a snow man. Quinn also had great fun trying to catch snowflakes in her mouth! I went to Wal-mart to buy Quinn a sled...can you believe they didn't get any in this year, how crazy is that!

Reagan is still learning new words, yesterday she was trying to say sister. She knows about 15 words now. She is also still doing great in her big bed!

This has been a big week for Reagan...she just had her fourth night sleeping in her big girl bed! We took the side off her crib to make it a toddler bed and she is doing great! She did roll out a couple time because a side rail won't fit on it so we are getting her a new bed this weekend. She has done such a great job, we are so proud of her. The other great thing about it was that Quinn was so embarrased the first night that Reagan stayed in her bed all night that she has slept in her bed every night since! That's right, the last 3 nights Quinn has stayed in her own bed all night, she hasn't woke up at all.

Quinn is doing so well at preschool, Friday her teacher said that Quinn is by far her best listener and does such a great job, even better than the kids who are there full time! Quinn has also learned how to do the sign of the cross and is helping to teach Reagan. Reagan now puts her hands together and sits patiently while we pray at dinner, it is very cute.

We are looking forward to our trip to FL in a few weeks, it is supposed to get cold here so we'll look forward to the nice weather. Before I go, a funny Quinn story. Last week Lance had an appointment to discuss his procedure to prevent Quinn and Reagan from having anymore siblings. Quinn was very concerned about why her dad had to go to the doctor, she wouldn't let up about it so without thinking I just said that Mommy and Daddy didn't want to have anymore babies so Daddy was going to talk to his doctor about it. I thought that would satisfy her, but she looked really sad and then said, "If we don't want anymore babies what are we going to do with Reagan, who are we going to give her to?" I assured her that we were keeping Reagan and she was very relived!
